Mellbergs Gård
is a so-called Captain’s Farm, built in the 17th and 18th Centuries
by Officers of the Swedish East India Fleet, situated a five-minute walk from the sea on the beautiful and historically interesting Onsala peninsula. It’s now a small-holding, offering a very special Bed-and-Breakfast experience to the discerning traveller.
- the main Farm House has two guest rooms, both upstairs.
- one larger room offers three beds and a comfortable seating area, while the double room is equally comfortable, but slightly smaller.
- the two rooms share a large and modern shower room and a TV area (with satellite TV).

Both rooms are furnished and decorated with modern and antique furniture and knick-knacks , and all the beds have down duvets.

Both rooms also have tea/coffee facilities.

Breakfast is served in the dining room downstairs, with an 18th Century wooden floor (including hand-made nails from the period), a beamed ceiling, lots of antiques and a traditional so-called Dutch fire-place that keeps the room deliciously warm even on the coldest day.
Mellbergs Gård is close to the sea, and there is a choice of beaches forswimming, as well as sailing, scuba-diving, fishing, and lots of other water sports. There are also several golf courses in the near vicinity, as well as good riding stables. There is superb bird watching, and a number of very beautiful walks.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, at a small extra charge, but as we have dogs of our own, they have to be kept in the room or on a lead outside.
